WELL.. I’m glad you asked come and meet the faces and reason behind the brand
I’m Cass, owner and founder of the black duck cartel clothing co, the transport industry has been in my blood for as long as I can remember.
I was born and bred around trucks, with my dad being a truck driver before eventually retiring. Growing up around the industry, trucks were never just a job to me — they were always a huge part of life.
Originally from Broken Hill, NSW, I spent time working in roadhouses before finding my way back into the transport world. For the past 8 years, I’ve been working alongside my partner, living the highs, lows, early starts and long days that come with the industry.
These days, I’ve got two little truck-mad kids who are following right in our footsteps. They’re every bit as obsessed with trucks as their dad and I are. 🚛❤️
Eventually, I decided I needed something of my own — a hobby, a creative outlet and, honestly, something to keep my brain busy and focused. Thanks, ADHD. 😂
That little idea turned into Black Duck Cartel.
It’s built from my love of trucks, the transport industry and the lifestyle that comes with it. It’s for the drivers, the families, the kids who can spot a truck from a kilometre away, and everyone who understands that trucking isn’t just a job — it’s a way of life.

Meet Ken — aka “Giddy” 👋🏼
Every good idea needs someone crazy enough to help bring it to life — and that’s where Ken, aka Giddy, comes in.
Ken was the one who came up with the Black Duck Cartel name and has been there from the beginning, helping turn what started as an idea into something we could actually put on a shirt.
He was there through the late nights, big ideas and plenty of figuring-it-out-as-we-go moments, working alongside me and my partner Row when we needed an extra set of hands, a fresh idea or just someone who believed in what we were building.
Ken shares our love for trucks that stand out — the kind that make you stop, look twice and appreciate the time, effort and pride that goes into making a truck look the part when it hits the highway. 🚛🔥
He’s got an eye for the details and a passion for making cool trucks look even cooler.
Black Duck Cartel wouldn’t be what it is without the people who have backed the idea from the start — and Giddy is one of those people.
From a name scribbled into an idea, to a brand built around the trucking lifestyle — he’s been there for the ride. 🦆🚛
Meet Row — My Baby ❤️
To some, he’s just Row.
To me, he’s my baby, and I’m his Sweetie. ❤️
For the past 8 years, Row and I have been side by side — in life, in love and in the transport industry. We’ve worked long days, chased loads, lived around the trucks and built our life together along the way.
Row has been there through the long shifts, late nights, big decisions and everything life has thrown at us. He’s my partner, my biggest supporter and the person who’s always been right there beside me.
After losing everything in Queensland, we made the decision to pack up and start again in Tasmania.
It’s a new chapter for us — rebuilding our life, creating a better future for our family and finding our feet again. It hasn’t been easy, but we’ve got each other, and that’s what matters most.
And now we’re building Black Duck Cartel together.
What started as my little idea and something to keep me busy has turned into something that represents so much of who we are — our love of trucks, the transport lifestyle, our family and the life we’re working hard to rebuild.
Row has been there through it all, including the late nights helping turn an idea into something real.
To some, he’s Row.
To me, he’s my baby.
And together, we’re starting again — and building something we can be proud of. ❤️🦆🚛
The Black Duck Story 🦆
Every brand has a story, and for us, Black Duck Cartel started long before there was ever a clothing brand.
The Black Duck has been a familiar part of our trucking life for years. It was always around the truck, and over time it became something we genuinely associated with our life on the road.
When the idea of creating a clothing brand first started taking shape, we knew we wanted something that actually meant something to us — something connected to the life we had lived for years.
Then our mate Ken, aka Giddy, came up with the name:
BLACK DUCK CARTEL.
And somehow, it just fucking stuck. 😂
What started as a name thrown around between friends quickly became the identity behind something much bigger.
The Black Duck represents where we’ve come from — years in transport, trucks, long days, long nights, missed family occasions, friendships made along the highway and a lifestyle that gets into your blood.
The Cartel is the people.
The drivers.
The families.
The mates.
The truck builders.
The people behind the scenes.
The people who understand why we stop and stare when a bloody good truck rolls past.
Black Duck Cartel was never meant to be just another clothing brand.
It’s a little piece of our trucking story — created from a lifestyle we’ve actually lived and built for the people who live it too.
After everything we’ve been through, including losing everything in Queensland and starting again here in Tasmania, Black Duck Cartel has become part of our new chapter.
